JUNIOR LAYOUT

 

The club wants to involve more junior members in our hobby and has recently begun construction of a new layout specifically for junior members. The layout track plan involves three complete circuits each served by two storage tracks which allows at least three operators to run trains at the same time. There is also a branch line under construction which will go to a branch terminus above the storage tracks. The layout is set up for DCC control with trains controlled by an app on their mobile phones since this is what most junior members now use. Junior members have learnt wiring and soldering skills as well as constructing initial scenery and ballasting most of the track. We will be moving on to scenery construction in the coming months.
